First time customers sometimes call and
ask "What kind of food does 211 York
serve?" The best answer is Chef Papa's personal creed: classically
prepared and well-executed dishes, influenced - just like America - by the best of cuisines
from around the world: Asian, French, Middle Eastern, Italian, Russian.
Everything is prepared from scratch at 211 York
using the freshest seafood and produce, meats aged on the premises. From the soup stock to the pastry on the
chicken pie, all menu items are created in-house. We never use restaurant supply prepared or
frozen food – come taste the difference!
The
chef has created a menu that offers broad appeal, without an overwhelming
number of choices. His master touch converts ordinary vegetables into
appetizers that do exactly that - please the palate and prepare it for the
main course. Dishes are made from excellent ingredients that sparkle in
simple, yet sophisticated sauces. And dessert? A rare chef who makes all of
his own.
